Keep life simple
Clocks you can read across the room, and radios that work when the power does not
We make digital alarm clocks, clock radios and NOAA weather radios with one promise: big digits you read without glasses, a dimmer that goes truly dark, and a setup a child or an 85-year-old finishes in a minute. 40 products, $9.99 to $53.02.

Start from the problem, not the product
Most people do not shop for a clock. They shop for a fix: a parent who cannot read the old one, a kid who will not get up, a bedroom with too many screens.

What the digits look like at 3 a.m.
The first question buyers ask is not about alarms. It is whether the display will keep them up at night. Here is the same display at every dimmer step and in each digit color we make, drawn to scale.
A simulation drawn to the digit shapes of our clocks, not a photograph. Step 0 is the full-off setting that the full-range dimmer models have, while on other models the lowest step stays faintly visible, and each product page says which kind it is.

Every clock, one honest table
Tick what matters to you and the table keeps only the models that fit. Power is listed honestly: most of our clocks run on an adapter, and the battery protects settings, not the display.

Two things worth knowing
Power and auto-set, without the marketing
Power, made clear
Most DreamSky alarm clocks plug into the wall. The batteries you add are for memory: in an outage they hold the time and the alarm setting, but on most models they do not light the display and do not sound the alarm. The product page of every clock says which kind it is before you buy. Our radios are the other way around: they run on their own batteries, and the hand-crank models charge themselves.
Auto-set is not atomic
An auto-set DreamSky clock arrives with the time already in it: you pick your time zone, and daylight saving is handled for you. It is convenience, not radio magic. Atomic timekeeping, where the clock listens for the WWVB signal every night, exists only in our weather stations, and even there it needs a window-side spot in some houses. No DreamSky alarm clock is atomic, and we will not label one that way.
Trust, from numbers we can point to
What Amazon buyers say in aggregate
We do not grade our own homework. The numbers below are Amazon's, quoted with the date we read them.
We quote these figures rather than restate them as our own, and we do not put third-party ratings into page markup: they belong to Amazon and move daily. Individual review quotations will appear here once we have collected them, with names and dates.

Questions
Eight questions people ask before the box ships
The questions buyers actually ask before the box ships, answered plainly.
Do DreamSky alarm clocks run on batteries?
Most do not. They plug into the wall with the included adapter, and the batteries you add only store the time and alarm through an outage. The vibrating clock and our radios are the battery-powered exceptions, and every product page says which kind you are looking at.
Will the alarm still go off if the power is out?
On most models, no: the backup battery preserves your settings so the clock is right when power returns, but it does not sound the alarm. A few models state alarm-on-backup on the piece, and we mark exactly that on their pages.
What does auto-set actually mean?
The clock ships with the time preloaded. You choose your time zone once, and DST shifts happen on their own. It is not synced to a radio signal: only our weather stations listen to WWVB.
Can the display go fully dark?
On the models with a full-range dimmer, yes, and the night-view block above shows each step. Some models dim low rather than off, and their pages say so.
Can I turn the alarm off for the weekend?
Not on the basic models: their single alarm rings every day until you switch it off. The comparison table marks which clocks have weekday and weekend scheduling.
Which digit color is easiest at night?
Dimmer matters more than color, but warm colors sit lower on the brightness scale. We make white, blue, red, amber, green and RGB versions, the night-view block shows each one against a dark room.
Where do I buy, and how do returns work?
Every button here goes to the product's Amazon listing. Ordering, payment, delivery and returns all happen there, handled by Amazon, warranty terms are per Amazon policy.
Why is the price different outside the US?
Our prices and links are for Amazon US. Other Amazon marketplaces set their own prices and shipping, and that is the reason the same clock can cost more abroad.
