Clocks that read like furniture

Some rooms do not want another black plastic box. The wooden clocks put the same large digits behind a wood-finish face that reads as furniture: the digits float on the grain when lit and vanish when dimmed.

The finish is a wood-look veneer over the case, honestly said, in walnut, bamboo and black. Versions differ by what they show: time only, date and day of week, or indoor temperature in the corner.

The wireless-charging version earns the nightstand twice: the top surface charges a phone, the face tells the time, and one outlet feeds both.
