Setup and troubleshooting
Most «broken» units are a power or setup mismatch, so start here. The printed manual ships in the box, and each product's Amazon listing keeps a copy under its documents. Purchases, returns and warranty service run through Amazon, per Amazon policy.
The clock is dead out of the box
Plug the adapter into the wall first, then into the clock: most of our clocks are adapter-powered and will not start on batteries alone.
Check the USB cord is seated at both ends, the display should light within a second.
If a working outlet and the included adapter give nothing, stop there: return it through Amazon rather than living with a doubtful unit.
The alarm did not go off after a power cut
This is the design on most models, not a fault: the backup battery keeps the time and the alarm SETTING through the outage, but the display and the sound stay off until wall power returns.
If you need an alarm that survives outages, use the vibrating clock or a model whose page states alarm-on-backup.
The display is too bright at night
Step the dimmer down: the full-range models go to fully dark, and the rest hold a low glow.
Digit color matters second: warm colors read dimmer at the same step. The night-view block on the front page shows every step to scale.
The clock runs a few minutes fast after months
Quartz drift of a minute or two per month is normal for a non-synced clock, reset against your phone at DST changes.
If it gains minutes per week, that unit is out of spec: return or replace it through Amazon.
Auto-set shows the wrong hour
The time zone got picked wrong, or DST mode is off. Reselect the zone, the minutes are preloaded and will snap right.
After a very long unpowered stretch the preload can age out: set the time once manually and it holds from there.
The weather station will not sync (WWVB)
Atomic sync happens at night, when the signal from Colorado carries best. Put the station near a window away from routers and TVs, and give it one full night before judging.
Steel-framed buildings and basements can block WWVB entirely: the station still works as a normal clock, set manually.
The outdoor sensor dropped its connection
Fresh batteries in the sensor first: cold kills weak cells, and the sensor dies before the console notices.
Re-pair by powering the sensor, then the console, within a minute of each other, keep the sensor out of direct sun and rain shadow for honest readings.

The weather radio alerts for the wrong county
The S.A.M.E. code in memory is not yours. Look yours up on the finder page, re-enter it, and delete extra codes you do not want.
Tuning the crank radio is fiddly
It is an analog dial, honestly: sweep slowly and let the needle settle. Extend the antenna fully for FM and shortwave, AM likes the radio turned bodily toward the station.
